Internships & Volunteer Opportunity

FIIDI offers intern and volunteer placement opportunities for both local and international candidates from various academic and professional backgrounds, to support our work in any of our country programs in Burkina Faso, Canada (locals only) and Sierra Leone. This is particularly good opportunity for those seeking a future career in human rights or development to gain on the ground experience working for a locally based NGO.

If you would like to intern or volunteer with us, please e-mail your C.V. with a one-page cover letter detailing why you want to work with FIIDI and how your skills and interests make you a suitable candidate. Interns and volunteers are required to commit a small monthly fee that caters for expenses of daily office facilities, and support for our projects. This is payable before arrival in Burkina Faso or Sierra Leone and you can wire the money directly to our bank account or through Western Union and or Money Gram. Kindly inquire directly about the Internship program costs. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any financial assistance to interns at this time.

Please send these documents by email attachment to us.

Candidates may apply at any time, but you stand the best chance if you apply between one and two months before you would like to start. For detailed information on our Internship and Volunteer Opportunities please click FIIDI Internship Guide and Internship & Volunteer Brochure.

Partnership

FIIDI will continue to build reliable relations with key partners for the purpose of implementing initiatives. We will seek support for the strengthening of our programs and activities. Our goal is to achieve the self-sustainability of FIIDI in Africa by the year 2025.

Close links will also be established with higher education institutions as well as human rights, peacebuilding, and development organizations throughout the globe for the provision of interns and exchange programs.

Become a General for Peace

The aim of the Generals for Peace program is to identify and partner with like-minded entities (individuals and organizations) from around the globe who subscribe to our vision to expand our communications and outreach activities in Africa.

The Generals for Peace Program aims to reach committed local people and organizations with skills and information sharing to build on strong community relationships with cultural and religious leaders as well as youth groups.

As a General for Peace, you will be responsible for the implementation of FIIDI activities in your local and national communities.

Our Generals and their activities will be celebrated on our website and social media. In addition, a Certificate of Commitment will be issued to each General for their active participation in peacebuilding activities in their communities.
